How do I check if a veterinarian is registered?▼
Search the public register by name or clinic. Every veterinarian and clinic in good standing with the ABVMA appears there, so you can confirm status before booking care.
How do I raise a concern about veterinary care?▼
Start in the Public Protection section. It explains what the complaints process looks like, what information to include, and what to expect at each stage.
How do I renew my registration?▼
Log in to the member portal to renew, pay, and update your details. Renewals open ahead of the March 31 deadline each year.
What is the difference between a veterinarian and an RVT?▼
Veterinarians diagnose, prescribe, and perform surgery. Registered Veterinary Technologists work alongside them within a defined scope of practice. Both are registered and regulated by the ABVMA.
